Booking Update (late June 2026)

Several things changed — sold out or newly booked

Off the table (fully booked): Asakusa Sumo Show, Ghibli Museum, Nintendo Museum, and Pokemon Cafe Osaka.

Newly booked / confirmed: Micro Pig Cafe moved to Day 2 (Jul 19, 12 PM); teamLab Planets Day 3 at 11:30 AM; Capyneko Cafe Day 3 at 4 PM; Kyoto riverside terrace dinner Day 6 (Jul 23, 7 PM, GSLCJ3); Mt. Fuji guided tour Day 12 (Jul 29, 8:30 AM); hotel stays at hotel MONday Asakusa (Jul 18–21) and Nikko Princess Kyoto (Jul 21–24).

Knock-on changes: Day 1 is now a relaxed Sensoji evening; Day 2 is an Asakusa jet-lag day anchored by the pig cafe; Day 9 is Pokemon Center + card hunting (no cafe).

PokePark KANTO → Mt. Fuji Day Tour (Day 12)

Decision: Dropped PokePark KANTO and booked a guided Mt. Fuji day tour to Kawaguchiko on Day 12 (July 29) — 8:30 AM pickup, ~11 hours, covering Lake Kawaguchi, Chureito Pagoda, and Mt. Fuji views. The early start helps beat the summer haze. (The tour's "cherry blossoms" name is just its stock title — no blossoms in July.)

Universal Studios Japan — Skip

Decision: We're skipping USJ this trip. Day 10 is now a relaxed Nara day trip (deer park + giant Buddha).

Pokemon Cafe — Cancelled (was Day 9)

Update: Pokemon Cafe Osaka was fully booked, so it's off. Day 9 stays Pokemon Center Osaka DX + Nipponbashi card hunting.

teamLab Planets — Booked (Day 3, 11:30 AM)

Decision: Booked for Day 3 (July 20) at 11:30 AM, before the Shibuya/Harajuku afternoon. Closing permanently in 2027!

Gion Matsuri — Ato Matsuri (Day 7, 9:30 AM)

Decision: Day 7 is the Ato Matsuri parade on July 24, starting 9:30 AM, then the train to Osaka. Confirm reserved seating if booking.
